History & Mission
The modern history of organised cynology in Georgia began in 1991, when the field gained official status and the Fédération Cynologique de Géorgie (FCG) was founded.
1991
Georgian cynology gained official status and the Fédération Cynologique de Géorgie was established.
1997
FCG joined the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) as a contract partner.
2001
The Fédération Cynologique de Géorgie became an associate member of the FCI.
2021
FCG attained full membership of the FCI.
Our mission
Advancing Georgian cynology through international cooperation
Since its foundation, FCG has worked closely with canine organisations across Europe and supported Georgia’s participation in the international cynological community.
The Federation regularly organises national and international dog shows in Georgia and remains open to professional cooperation with canine organisations worldwide.
